What parts do I need to change install new motor?

What parts do I need ? <br />Just got a 40hp Yamaha.I am converting this boat from tiller steer to console.I have cables but they might be too long.I wanna go with a small center console.I need console,cables,...what else?Where should I look?This is a tunnel hull 1648 Grizzly.I also wanna put on CMC jack plate with tilt and trim since It dont have factory.

Been there and done that, with a Lowe Roughneck R 1760 MT, and a 50 HP Mariner 4-stroke. <br /><br />You can get a sheetmetal shop to bend you up a console pretty easily, if you have a picture, or buy directly from the factory. Just be sure you make it out of the same type of aluminum your boat is made of, to prevent galvanic corrosion and stress cracking. The dealer or factory will have to help you there.<br /><br />Some additional recommendations:<br /><br />1.) Don't buy your cables until you figure out and mount your console, or you will buy too long or too short.<br /><br />2.) Take your time when planning it out, and it will pay off later.<br /><br />3.) Take pictures of boat consoles you like, if you try to make one yourself.
