Just bought a 1988 Sea Ox walkaround 20 footer with a blown 150 mercury. I have a 1999 225 Mercury outboard on the way. I would guess Prop pitch is going to need to change drastically. I think it has 15x19 on it right now. Anybody running a 225 EFI on a boat this size? It weighs about 2950 dry weight and about 4000 gear/gas/beer.
Thanks in advance,
Zac

Okay turns out I have a 14x17. I don't know where I got 15x19. Would a 4 blade do anything for me? Is it crazy to start with a 14x21 or 14x22 pitch?

I'm including a picture so maybe a visual will spark some comments. 1999 225 Mercury Optimax will be here this week and I'd like to plan for success with a prop.

Got a 4 blade aluminum 14.25X19p from iboats to try and picked up a 15x21p stainless on ebay for $45 to try also. Put the motor on last night so I will try some runs this week to see what kind of RPMs I'm getting.
