I have a merc 115 hp o/b motor on a fish and ski boat. It tops out at about 52 mph. Now I need power to pull a skier and not speed. Can someone reccomend a pitch that will help me. I was told I have a speed prop and not a power prop. Thanks

Not knowing what prop you're running now or how many rpm you're turning the engine makes it kinda tough. You need to go down in pitch but as you go down in pitch, your engine will go up in rpm. A rule of thumb is 1" of pitch = 200 rpm so you could go down in pitch and get a little better hole shot but you gotta be careful not to over-rev the engine. Try a 2" drop in pitch and see what happens.

c/6

Hooty
