I really appreciate all the info you guys have supplied. I never realized how much info was on this site ,but it is great thanks again for all the help!
New tach should be in tomarrow , cant wait to get it hooked and find out where I can go from there

Do we know if then 35 was by a gps?
Using figures as stated and a 2.42 gear ratio 35 mph at 10% slip nets about 5800 rpm
at 6% about 5600. Sure not the best way to figure rpm but at least says "about" 35
could be possible. I'm thinking probably a little less.

Yes 35 was with GPS , only hit it once but 33 mph is more constant

Finally got it out today, It runs about 5000-5100 rpm at WOT lightly loaded with the 17 pitch
Should I be looking for a 15 pitch prop?

Are you at optimun trim? If so yes I would try the 15, it should bring you right around 5500
