old 5.7 penta engine in it, the v8 model
It's going to take more info than that to answer your question. How do you know it's a 5.7? If you have no idea of what year or model number the engine is, find the GM block casting number on the block.
Any chevy 5.0 or 5.7 of the same vintage will get you an oil filter.

Ayuh,.... It's a 350 Chevy,...
It uses the marine sparkplugs, AC Delco, MR43T...
An oil filter can be found at any parts house,...
SBCs use 1 of 3 filters, short, mid-length, 'n the tall 1...
Use whichever ya got room for,...
Most use the short 1...
yeah the plug that came out was a ac delco cr43ts. is this the right plug?
Nope, that's the automotive steel bodied plugs...
The "M" is for marine, their an Alloy bodied plug that don't rust in easily...
cool thanks for that.
last question. are the filters and plugs the same as the mercruiser? cause the local marine mechanic says he has never got stuff for volvos but he has the service parts for the mercruiser. can i ask him for the early mercruiser service items?
Ayuh,... Sparkplugs, 'n fliters,..?? Ya their the same...
I buy all mine at Napa....
