What prop to use???

Hello all. I have a 1996 21 foot Tracker pontoon with a 1995 60 HP mercury outboard. It now has a A10 8P propeller on it. The tachometer reads 7000 rpm at WOT. I doubt that the tack is correct but just wondering what prop you guys would suggest to run. I feel like the motor is running to many rpm but don't know for sure. Oh yea, does anyone know if that old of a motor has a rev. limiter on it? Thanks

A 11-1/4 X 10 ought to do it. That prop should run about 5000 rpm @ 20-22 mph.

Your rpm range is 4500-5500.

Cleaning the contacts on the back of the tachometer might help restore better readings.
