What props interchange?

Will any 15 spline prop fit another manufactures 15 spline with the proper hardware? Or are the splines cut differently.

I know a Large Gearcase Johnny/ Rude prop will fit a Merc Large gearcase,+ the Alpha, Bravo drives....

But,.... The Merc Won't fit the Johnny/ Rudes.....

Would the actual merc prop fit if it were rehubbed?

there is quite a few that fit on each other, a generic prop I bought the other day fit on all makes of motors but all differ in hp and year ........

The splines in a Merc hub can be shortened so the prop will fit an E/J, no problem.

The Merc hubbed prop will fit a Yamaha shaft using a Merc thrust washer.

A Yamaha hubbed prop will fit a Merc if you use a Yamaha thrust washer.

Did you get that new bad boy wet yet? Lets get on with testing props! I heard thru the grapevine it was a Stratos? No?

When LD posts back we can get a few more particulars, but I think this may be a good candidate for a Lightning.

Yea Kenny your probably right if its the stratos hull im thinking about it should post some really good numbers espiacially eith the bad rude on it
