i have a new to me 9.5 evinrude sportstwin motor year unknown but serial number J 10559 and model number 9122 R if that helps. My question is what gas to oil ratio should i be using for this engine? And as far as the points on the flywheel go how do i set it to .020? please help....

9122 is the model number for a 1971 9.5HP Evinrude.

It uses 50:1 - 87 US Octane gasoline to TC-W3 oil.

Hey, I have the same motor. Here is the thread on setting the points. Make sure you get a flywheel puller, they have a nice set at harbor freight for $15. As for holding the flywheel still, if you dont have a flywheel holder. Try a big c-clap. Pictured is the same motor, so it should give you a good idea where to place it so it doesnt move.
