What sealant for transom shield?

I recently just purchased a 83 trophy and I am going to do a v8 swap. Whats the sealant used to seal the new transom plate to the transom?

you might do better asking in the inboard forum.

I'd say PL construction adhesive hehehe,
seems to stick everything else on my boat.

3m 4200....3m 5200.....sikkaflex.....or any other marine sealant...but 5200 or sikkaflex is standard

Make sure your mating surfaces are prepped and clean m8.

I'm going to order some up. I'm just trying to get some answers and have the simple materials on hand when i start the project. I don't want to wait a day for the simple stuff. Once again thanks!!
