What sealant to use?

4.5 mercruiser I/o v-6; what sealant is used,if any,on
exhaust manifolds,and risers (all new components)
i was told by mercruiser tech that u put these on dry
no sealants? Also, for the hose fittings and plug fittings
on manifolds and risers, there seems to be a red sealao
on these? Would that be hi temp silicon sealant? Thx

You can never go wrong with Permatex Aviation sealant on everyhing

Ayuh,..... I agree with this guy if they're the carbon graphite type,.....
