I have come across a 9.9 evinrude in good condition that runs but is not cooling & the throtle controls are very hard. model # E10RCOM<br />SER# EO481776.

olm, 1985 9.9hp Rude.<br /><br />First thing if its overheating you should replace both the water pump and t'stat, also since its new to you, changing the lower unit oil would be a good idea.<br /><br />Fuel mix is 50:1, 1 pt.TC-W3 OIL TO 6 gal 87 octane gas<br /><br />Spark plugs: L77J4 or QL77J4 (for noise supression) <br /><br />Water pump kit: BMC P/N 394711 includes housing<br />T'stat: BMC P/N 5005440. You'll lsoa need the water cover gasket P/N 329920 and t'stat gasket #329319<br /><br /> EDIT: Couldn't tell ya what it's worth
