Don't rule out a bracket and an outboard. A 250 hp outboard will shave >750 lbs off the total weight of the boat. If you got the money, the new 4-stroke OBs have a very nice torque curve that, combined with the weight savings, will make a huge difference.<br /><br />Of course you'll have to plug the hole in the transom and change to the OB forum.<br />mike

You'll have to do a lot more than that rainmaker, the transoms for outboards is much thicker and braced differently than that of an I/O. Not an impossible problem to overcome but it is something to consider.

Does anyone else think that putting a bracket and an outboard on is a good decision. How about twin 150's what would i have to do to make this work?
