What size fuel tank do I have?

I have a 1989 Maxum 17 ft with a 85 hp Force. The fuel tank is original to the boat I’ve been told and the previous owner said it has a 28 gallon tank on it. Seems like a lot for this boat but maybe not. I can’t find the original specs to find out

Most tanks have a placard or sticker somewhere that states the tank capacity. If you can access the tank you might find it.

Like Topgun suggested find the sticker, should be
close to the sending unit.
If not? send the hull ID# to Bayliner
They have the info and maybe even an owners manual??

There is a Maxum owners club.
Look them up.
