What size is Volvo Penta 280 outdrive prop cone bolt please!?

Does anyone know the size of this bolt please, mine is missing!

Also im assuming best to get a stainless one!

Thank you, for some reason I was assuming it would be an imperial size and not metric.

Is it a cap head style bolt and any idea on correct length please?

Thanks captmello, just as I thought! 18 TPI is a UNC thread. I read somewhere the length is either 2" or 2 1/4".

Now I know what size it is I can probably obtain one for pennies and hope the standard diameter Cap head will fit the counter bored cone.

I think 1/4-20
The ones I worked on all used an ASE allen wrench not metric??
Only $27 on the Volvo site!!!

Ok, im mega confused, pulled my boat today and checked if the bolt i brought would fit and i dont even have a thread there! Firstly i thought it was a dirty thread so cleaned it and also thought i would need to run a Tap down there but there is actually nothing there at all!!!

How strange!? Possibly been drilled out? The diameter there is approx 5.5mm and a depth of 10mm

You have a short hub setup, no bolt, instead you have a lock washer. check out this link.
