I have a 1990 Sea Nymph pontoon model number on the title says 2019snb and on the side of the boat is sn200. I'm wanting to upgrade the outboard from a 25hp Johnson but I cant read what the boat is rated for. I've tried to search for a web address for sea Nymph with no luck and I've search Iboats but cannot find the model I have. Any ideas on how to find the horsepower rating? Or any thoughts on what I can install? I'm thinking of nothing larger than a 70 or 75.

Sea Nymph stopped building boats in 1998. Lowe Inc.bought them out.

If it is a 20 ft pontoon i would think a 70 or 75 would be about right for it.

No listing of that model on NADA.

How are things up in the Chili bowl?:D

I've got a 75hp on my 20 footer. Works just fine. It will do 20-22 wot but I hardly ever run wide open. Most of the time we run along at 3500 rpm's. There isn't anywhere on our 500 acre lake I can't get to in less then 10 minutes at 15 mph. I do have to crank it up when the Grandkids come up.

Most of the 20 footers that I have seen are max rated at 90 HP. My boat is a 20 foot Bentley and it is rated at 90 but it has the large pontoons on it.

70-75 hp would be the ticket.
