WELL MY NEW 115 IN LINE 6 RUNS GREAT!!! THANKS TO THE BOARDS AND LOTS OF READING. NOW MY QUESTION: AT WOT THE TACH READS 5000 TO 5100 WITH THE MOTOR TRIMED OUT BUT MY TOP SPEED TODAY WAS ONLY 31 TO 33. THE SPEEDO MITE BE OFF A LITTLE BUT I'M SURE IT WAS CLOSE. THE PROP ONLY HAS ONE NUMBER ON IT -SSM417- WHAT PROP CAN I PUT ON TO GET 45 TO 50 MPH AND NOT LUG THE MOTOR DOWN. THANKS

I think youre lugging it now. <br /><br />Dont change props -- work with the set up first. Youre at about 20% slip. You can improve that for sure.<br /><br />By any chance is the tach a Teleflex tach?

if you put what type of boat it's on too size like 14 ft fiberglass, plus size and pitch of prop to like 14 x 17 pitch you should have put this on prop forum too
