What Tachometer to Buy? 1986 Merc 60

I have a 1986 Mercury 60HP outboard and I don't like guessing how fast I'm spinning the engine. I'm confused by the variety of tachs for sale for Mercury, or Mercruiser and the like. Can anyone suggest a good tach, or what to look for and avoid?
