After weeks of rebuilding my Chrysler 360 s/b's cooling system. I think have it right (back to how it was set up originally). With a new thermostat (160 to 180) installed it runs between 170 and 195. Is this right? A Dodge truck manual (the only manual I can find on mopar) says it should be between 190 to 200. Would this apply to marine motors also?

If you only run in fresh water it is fine, but if you run in SaltWater it is too high as will get too many saltwater problems and engine deposits. For salt water try a 150 degrees thermostat for temps of 150 to 170 degrees.
