WHAT THE HECK IS AN EVINRUDE MODEL 25RSM??? Who has a parts diagrams for this one???

Wow, have I got a winner here! My son came home with an EVINRUDE "SUPER 25 FIRE POWER IGNITION" 25HP outboard (whatever that is). The model number is SE25RSM. The nearest I can tell is that this may be the South American, maybe commercial model 25. I have found a "25RSM/25RSLM" in the official evinrude model catalog that indicates it is a 1987 model. My question is, what would be the closest model a parts house would be able to use to identify parts I will need? They usually only list a handful of engine model #s to choose from.

Also, no prop...anybody got any idea what size prop would have been on an engine like this? I'm not even sure if it is exhaust thru prop or regular. Sheeeesh!

My guess is 1990 Evinrude 25hp--rope start commercial--manual tilt. I suspect the correct number is SE25RSM

Look it up on www.maxrules.com You'll see what I found.

Thanks for the reply sir! It is a 'SE'. That's why I mentioned South America. The site you referenced also has the 25RSM listed as a 1987 model...I didn't see it in the 1990 list. I've been bouncing in and out of parts houses online trying to match it up the best I could with models they have parts for...not an easy chore. This is a strange one. I think I'll ask the techs at the 'maxrules' site & see what they have to say. Thanks again for your reply!

Oh, forget to tell you all, we have a prop that fits. Kooky Kid went & bought a new one...sheeesh!
