what tilt/trim oil do you use

i'm using ATF dextron III in my older square style "remote mounted pump, it works but its kinda works slow.<br /><br />today i found in the manual it said to use motor oil 10w 30 ...so what the heck should i be using ?<br /><br />motor is a 1985 merc 200 with the remote trim pump mounted in the boat. thanks
