I have been looking for a boat on a budget. The two I have narrowed it down to are: 1) 1984 16 foot deep vee swiftsure with a 1988 75 HP mariner average condition boat with a vg motor.
2) 1979, 17.5 foot Silverline deep vee with 120 mercruiser average boat, faded interior not covered when not in use.
I will be doing some fishing but mainly tubing, with my wife and boys.
They are about the same price in (canadian dollars) what will be the pros and cons of these two motors for this situation. I am thinking the 75 mariner will be underpowered. Any advise will be helpfull.
