I have had many boats ... current is a Maxum 1800 SR3. (4.3L)

Boat is used for family watersports, and with a Tower, High 5 prop and Smart tabs makes a competent boat for our needs.

Use is in-shore, salt water, and is towed rather than berthed.
I would have bought another 1800SR3, but as Maxum are no more I need to start thinking about waht to replace this with.

Welcome ideas of what to look at for my replacement runabout ..... need a bowrider with a swim platform, and a reasonable Vee to the hull, and a decent wake shape.
Initial thoughts are :
Bryant 210
SeaRay 205 or 210
Regal 2000
Cobalt 210

You should also check out Monterey boats and Edgewater makes a Model 205 Express that has classic lines as well as their 205 Cross-over dual-console, bow rider might fit your needs.

I see you have 2 foot "itis". Great, it's a good time to look at boats, prices are good.
1. Cobalt, fast hull, higher build quality & well appointed, I understand some of their hulls mimic Donzi classics below the waterline.
2. Sea Ray, great ride & build quality. On the down side the good ride at planing speed makes the older ones wallow at headway speed. I imagine tabs would fix that. It's also possible the boats are better now.
I haven't been in the others so my opinion has gaps. Those who know other wise will certainly speak up though.
I have neighbors & friends running Wellcraft, 4Winns, and Century.
I am a lake boater though so I'm not that versed on the places where you boat.
You may want to go high sides center console if you get out where the ocean swells are.

I concur with Yacht Dr. You should consider Four Winns. They make high quality boats for a reasonable price.
