So, after a summer of looking for ONE LOUSY part, the above boat is finished being put back together, and it runs well. However, the upholstery is shot. The carpet is shot. The floor is solid, but I'm afraid when I pull back the carpet, I'm gonna say, "well, I'm this far already" and replace the floor as well. I think it's time for this guys "Second best day" to come. Time to get rid of this sucker. Parts are only gonna get harder to find.
My issue is, Do I sell this thing in one piece, or am I better off to sell it in parts and pieces on E-bay? I did this with another boat I had a few years back, and came out pretty good, actually. I know some of the pieces that I have are getting difficult to find, and that may help the overall value.
If I sell it in one piece, I feel like I'll be lucky to get $1000 out of it. I feel like a handful of these pieces sent off to a lucky e-bayer or two will bring that much.
I hate to part out a boat that is perfect in mechanical shape now -- but financially, I think I'm better off.
What do YOU think?
Jason
