Cut out holes in the front of the hull for docking lights, sanded the edges and exposed fiberglass. Should I do anything else to the exposed fiberglass to reduce the chance of cracks forming? Marine-tex??

Cracks should not form unless there is stress. There should not be any stress there so just use a quality sealant when installing the lights and it will be fine.Charlie

And mask off exactly before you apply the sealer and install the fittings.

Easier to keep MarineTex or Sikaflex or whatever you're gonna use off the surface than try and remove it afterwards.

The holes are an oval shape, I smoothed all the edges with sandpaper. I will just use some 3M 4200 to seal the lights then. Thank You!!!

I would not recommend 3m 5200 or 4200 for that application. If you ever had to replace the entire unit you will have some job ahead of you. That sealant is for permanent application and where strength is needed. All you want to do is seal it so use something like marine silicone or silicone rubber.Charlie
