Hello, I have a question if someone can help. I have operated larger outboards with electric ignition. My question is for this 1970 6hp Johnson outboard i have just got. I like to know the starting procedures on this outboard. It got a choke knob i can pull in and out, a twist knob from rich to lean, a side lever i would guess for forward,neutral, reverse, and of course the throttle extension in the front. I guess I would like to know what is the starting procedures and then how should the knobs set once it has started running.
