Hey guys,

I had my boat (232 Baja Boss W 7.4 and B1) out this weekend. Had a half a tank of gas (40 gal) and 5 people on it including me. My trim gauge doesnt work, so I am learning to do things by feel. I was running 4750 RPMS WOT (need to be 4200-4600WOT) with my Mirage Plus 21p. GPS on iphone was saying 50mph. I have seen 52-53 at 4850 RPM before and a lighter load. I think I should be going much faster.. I trim it up until it starts to porpoises..(which it never really does)..I have the tabs down on take off, then lift them at speed. I feel like it goes faster with the drive trim down, but not sure. So I bought a quicksilver 13.5x 23P SS prop locally. In good shape.. I searched all over and low balled the guy for $50. I thought I was getting a great deal. 48 75724 A5 23P is the number. The net doesnt have much about it and I am not sure if it will even help lower the RPM's.. People say the mirage plus props lower the RPM over a standard prop. I just hate to go out and spend $100 in gas this weekend and have a prop that takes the RPM even higher. Shes a Carbed 454 and doesnt like 5k rpm's.

I have a 95 Block and a 95 B1 drive. Not sure what the ratio is, but it hits WOT pretty quick when on plane.
Do you think it will help at all?

Thanks,

Joe

The diameter may be too small . . . but give it a try. 50 - 55 mph may be what you get out of that boat.

Deep V hulls take a bit of power to move them along. So, speed tends to be leas than comparable "lake" boats.
