What to fill hole with?

Hey Guys,

Newbie here so pardon my easy question please. Can anyone tell me what I should fill a small screw hole with in the bilge area? My blower went out and the new one to replace it doesn't line up with the old so I need to drill a new hole and fill in the old hole. I figured best practice would be to fill the screw hole so water can't get in. I can provide pictures if needed.

Thanks

Jimmy

3M 5200 works well. Marine Tex also works well & will dry hard. JB Weld also makes a kneedable 2-part epoxy putty that you can make a plug with & shove it in the hole - it'll dry rock hard. 3M 5200 is what I'd prefer, though.

Epoxy would probably be the best choice for fiberglass as it completely bond to the existing material.

"What to fill hole with?"

Most of us call that hole, a boat.

We keep throwing money into it, and it never gets filled. :)
