Re: what to look out for in a starcraft restoration job?
I'm concerned about the use of pressure treated ply. The newer PT has chemicals in it that reacts with and corrodes aluminum. I replaced my floor with PT 5 years ago because I didn't know any better. I haven't noticed any damage yet but I'm hoping I got some of the older PT. It looks like he did a good job. Despite that though, I wouldn't pay anywhere NEAR that price with no motor. I MIGHT pay $1000 and that's only because I am really looking hard for that exact hull.
I think that hull would do great for where you want to use it. The 18' supersport is a nice high sided substantial hull.
