I've done the samething when I have trouble getting answers. The reason being is that some people stay in one forum, but may know the answer to my question that is posted in another forum. I personally don't consider it rude to post a question in an unrelated forum, just as long as it doesn't become a habbit or the forum will become flooded with off topic junk and mess things up. Once and a while is okay.
