Dan,

Go to: www.pettitpaint.com

They, Pettit, will also send you a brochure that explains exactly what you need to use and how.

Interlux also make a good marine paint. I'm not sure about their website address.

Re: what to use

I am in the process of paiting my 18ft. Fiberglass boat. I originally bought Interlux as I was painting the bilge (just 1 qt), I thought it was OK.

Since I have purchased Pettit Easypoxy topcoat, which can be left in the water below the waterline for up to 48hrs. I also used the Pettit #6149 undercoat. I am very pleased with the finish, you can brush or roll. They recommend rolling and tipping. Roll out the paint, followed by "tipping" out the roll marks, use a good brush for tipping, you don't want hair from the brush getting in the paint, also stay away from nylon bristles, they don't give a good finish (my oppinion).

BTW, I paid about $85/Gal of topcoat and $75 for undercoat.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

emp.
