What transducer do I need for my Lowrance LCX-27C

I recently came across a good deal on a brand new Lowrance LCX-27C GPS/sonar fish finder. It was just the reciever and the power cables. I got the GPS antanne on the way (LGC-3000), but im not sure what to do about the transducer. Can anyone point me in the directiopn of the right one? The water temp is going up fast here in middle TN and the river will be coming up to summer pool soon, so Im itching to get out on the water and start figuring this thing out. PLEASE HELP

The transducer on my Lowrance LCX113c HD is HST DFSBL 50/200mhz with temp sensor Part 106-77

It really depends on how you use you unit.
Fresh Water 150 feet or less get the 200 Khz unit
part number 106-72.
Salt water deeper than 150 feet I would get the 50/200 Khz transducer Part number 106-77.

Also if you run down riggers and you want to see your Ball then the 50khz transducer has a much wider cone angle in the 37 to 45 degree range.

The 200Khz is only 20 degrees and hard to see down rigger balls on unless your fishing very deep.

A fish finder is only as good as the transducer connected to it.

If it was my unit, I'd bag the Lowrance transducers all together and go with an Airmar P66 on that unit. The P66 is arguably the best, 600W transom mount transducer on the market.
