What type of boat fits on this trailer?

I picked up a super clean trailer today for cheap, with hopes of making it fit my 17' flat bottom V hull.
I plan to change out the tongue and bow stop for something more conventional but I can't picture what type of boat fit this trailer?
It's sprung pretty stout, with a 2800lb GVW so it wasn't a bare hull skiff, it's got a 3500lb axle rating, but has 5.30x12 6 ply tires, with 4 lug rims, the bow stop is under 12" high, and it's fairly narrow at only 55" between the fenders.

The bunks are 8' long, with a pair of 4' guide on bunks at an angle, the whole axle carriage is adjustable.
It's made by Escort which means it probably came with someone's new Bayliner back in 1992.
It's too narrow for even a 16' Bayliner Capri, and the flat bunk arrangement wouldn't work well on that style hull, I was thinking a flat fiberglass skiff or jon boat but that don't explain the high capacity for such a small trailer of this style. I even thought maybe a pro bass boat with a big motor but none are this narrow.

It's in near new condition, perfect tires, still have the stickers on them, no rust, and perfect bunks.

That's a super nice trailer. It could probably be set up to hold just about anything but looks ready for a high-sided flat bottom as is.

Re: What type of boat fits on this trailer?

It is super clean, I found it by accident, it came from PA, just east of New Oxford, I was heading home and was looking for a boat and trailer someone had told me about and got the wrong address, I was on the wrong leg of the road, had ignored the GPS since I knew I just saw the correct house number. When I knocked on the door the woman knew nothing about a boat for sale but had this in the garage. The road had similar north and south addressed, and the house number I stopped at even matched the same description as the house I was supposed to go to. When she said $100, I had to grab it. The tires and wheels have to be worth that, not to mention it appears to have four new wheel bearings, new bearing buddies, and a new light kit. The bunks are perfect although they really don't match up to anything I have right now, but I can picture something like a 17' flat bottom glass skiff on it, or even a super wide Big Jon modified V aluminum boat. I just can't picture what Bayliner it came with. (Being an Escort trailer, I sort of assumed it came under a Bayliner of some type). When I lived in PA, I had all sorts of trouble finding trailers with titles, now I'm down in NJ, I have four with PA titles here.

I think this one will get put up till I need it. I was thinking of maybe trying to fit my 17' Duratech on it but I think it's a bit narrow. Another point that stands out on this is that the fenders actually protrude through and beyond the side bunks, they're dead on aligned and don't appear bent, but what ever boat was on this had gunwales that protruded out or flared outward a great deal, or a hull that rounded off pretty much at bottom edge.

The super low bow stop is also strange, I can't imagine any V hull having a bow eye that low, pretty much only a flat bottom jon boat would fit that profile.

I was also thinking of making a longer tongue for it, one that extends a bit farther rearward, and about 2' longer out front to allow the use of a normal bow stop and roller. The one on there now isn't likely to match many boats.

Looks like the Escort trailer under my new (to me) Spectrum.

I like the keel roller on it been thinking of adding one to mine as depending on how deep I put the trailer it'll scrape going on and off.

Sure looks like the same trailer. I pretty much was thinking that it had to be a larger aluminum flat bottom or a skiff of some type.
The keel roller does look added on mine. It's newer than the rest of the trailer.
I can't imagine it without one though. I'm planning on adding a bit longer tongue, one long enough to use a standard swing back jack, and one that has enough room to mount a normal bow stop. One that can be adjusted for height.

I like that boat too.
It looks like the perfect lake and river fishing boat.
