What type of oil for the lower unit?

Hey guys,

Got a question and I have looked around and just can't figure out the answer. I have a 1985 OMC 3.8l 4 barrel with a stringer 800 outdrive.

I went ahead and checked the oil on the lower unit ( or in my terms "the one with the drain plug all the way on the bottom close to the fin") and it needs to be changed. Any recommendations on what to use??

Whatever gear lube the local marine shop, Wally-world, or other fine retailer has available will probably do. Most would likely suggest 80W90. You don't need type C in yours.
