What type of wood for stringers

I was wondering if any one uses that new engenered deck wood that does not rot to make there stringers from.

If you search the board for "trex" its been discussed before but its strength is questionable. There's actually been a recall on it for chipping if I remember right.

The "best" bet is just using pressure treated plywood.

Or Doug Fur marine ply would be good.
