I was looking at trying to get some cypress but no go on that here in the west. What is the better option in the opinions of iboat denizens? The stringers are 1"x10" x about 12'-0" long.

Doug fir plywood. Do a search there are alot of posts on what type of wood to use for stringers. And then pressure treated or not, you can search that as well. Some say yes, while others no. I personally used PT in my boat.

Have a great day,

Rob.
