What would you do to '83 OMC V6 if you had it out already, and a motor mount que

I've got my 3.8 L out because the wood supposed to be holding it up is AWOL and the glass just couldn't hang by itself. I have no idea how much time is on this motor. I am not a boat guy, but I am rapidly learning more, much like I did about termites at my last house. Do boats have as much of a need for a "freshening up" at a machine shop after such a period of time? Do boat motors only differ from cars in cooling and exhaust systems, making my motor the same as a Buick Regal/GN? Chevy/GM 220-230something?

My motor stringers (or whatever the long axis boards & glass that the motor bolts to are called) are supposed to be level, I believe. When my motor is trimmed all the way up (Hydraulic SelecTrim rams up front completely rectracted) the motor and outdrive mounts are a good 2.5 inches different. This out of the boat, so that may be the whole cause there, but it just seemed out of whack to me, especially given my broken glass where the outdrive mounts. Are the outdrive mounts just a fulcrum?

Edit for clarity: The 2 front mounts are same height, the 2 aft mounts are same height, but to view them from either side, they don't match in height. That's where the 2.5 inch difference is.

I feel like Alice in Wonderland, and I'm finding out how deep the rabbit hole is...

The front engine mounts are hydraulic cylinders that move up and down and control your select trim. They should be set equally side to side .The rear mounts just flex and pivot.Sometimes you can have one front mount leaking to the point of inop and that can cause the whole thing to twist a little and cause damage but more likely your rotten stringers are to blame for the glass damage.
