HI Guys I have a question for you.<br />I'm think abouht getting a second job for a few months so I can get a good boat.<br />have any of you done this before?<br />I don't have a famly or a persanl life so I won't be missing anything.<br />It the only way to get the $1500 I need.<br />just looking fo any imput you may have thanks.

Sounds like a good plan to me. <br /><br />I have considered doing the same thing, but I work every other week on call. No one seems to want part time help every other week. :) <br /><br />Good luck with the boat.

Makes a lot more sense than borrowing for it, What.<br /><br />Go for it. :) <br /><br />Or are you talking down payment? In that case, don't. Get a boat you can call your own.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the initial purchase cost of a boat is just the beginning of the costs......you'll be working that second job AFTER you buy the boat just to pay the reasonable upkeep.<br /><br />Good luck!

Whwt66, I say go for it. Your not a newbie so I can only assume you have some knowledge. I have a couple older boats, I work on those as I can afford it. I see them as some people see old cars, they buy a fixer and work on it as they can afford to.<br /><br />SO GO FOR IT! who knows maybe you'll find some chicks on the lake and find your wife, hopfully you don't meet her when she tows you in!!! hahaha :cool: :)

Been there done that!!! At the time, it was for that new 280 Z.<br /><br />I tended bar after my regular job. What a (good) experience. Tips what made it worth it.
