I have a hole below the drain plug opening in the transom. looks like it was cut in wrong and bottomoftransom2.jpg repaired. My question is would you leave it as is and fiberglass over top or remove and repair?? I'm stumped and would appreciate any input

Test the wood for rot then make a decision from there. How long has it been exposed/outside?
If its good then I wood overdrill the hole and fill with hairy pb, then redrill to size of bilge drain.

Guess I should have elaborated. This is just the skin and bare hull no wood. I discovered this while grinding.

Awesome then! Do above and fill then redrill. Lets see some other suggestions.

Duct tap on the outside, then when you install the new transom, the pb will fill the area. If it bulges a bit no worries. Just grind it flat then fair and either paint it or Gelcoat it. No big deal.
