What year 25hp Mariner outboards?

I have two 25hp Mariner outboards. I would like to know what year they are and if they were built my Mercury or Yamaha.<br /><br />#1 motor S/N 6634857<br /><br />#2 motor S/N A728935<br /><br />Thank you.

Get all the numbers off the data plate. It will help. Model/serial numbers.

These are the only numbers I can see on the dataplate located on the motor shaft. Should I be looking somewhere else?

#2 A728935 is a 1985 model.Not sure about the first one listed.
