10 not IO ??

V4M-10 and V4ML-10 are 1964 90hp Johnsons.
Presumably V4ML-10 is the longshaft version

Ah that's it. Tag was hard to read. Is that a good model? I have the opportunity to pick one up but it will need a prop and iboats doesn't seem to have a aluminum prop for it. And the price of the stainless is ridiculous.

Props are available just about anywhere but that's the least of your possible problems.

That was the first 90hp model manufactured which had/has a four barrel carburetor of which parts will be quite hard to find. The lower unit is an electric shift model which may be problematic... bad hub, bad shift spring... both of which would also be hard to find and even if found would be outrageously expensive.

In my humble opinion, although I usually brag up all of the OMC engines... this one was not a good design. Unless you're picking it up for a song, so to speak... beware.
