What year Evinrude?

A local marina was having a clearance sale and I came across what I believe to be either a 175 or 200 Evinrude. All the serial numbers are missing. The only numbers I did locate are under the hood. The numbers I found were 324899-1. Could someone help identify the year? I can pick this motor up cheap for parts.

For me, that number could be anything Ralph. Is the welch plug on the block missing also? Maybe a pic would help.

ralph, not to be an alarmist. but engines with out plates are considered stolen, get extreme documentation for that engine. some states require registering outboards, and without the numbers you cannot register. if going to use for parts your good to go.

Numbers look like they had been corroded by the salt water over time. You can not make them out at all.
