what year is my 10 hp johnson

I recently acquired a 10 hp johnson outboard model #qd-24b I would like to know what year it is and if possible the fuel to oil ratio. Thanks

qd-24 is a 1963 model

Scopav.<br /><br />OMC specified 24:1 for engines before 1965.<br /><br />Your QD-24 has a friction bearing on the small end of the con-rod and does not get adequately lubed with a 32:1 or 50:1 mix.
