What year is my engine?

I have what I"m guessing to be around a 1986-89 Johnson 120HP VRO V-4 engine. the serial # plate is missing. Does anyone know if the serial # is stamped elsewhere on the engine so I can determine the exact year and model of the engine? I'm trying to find an impeller kit for it and some people say the 120HP's don't start until 1993?

Look on the engine block for a round, quarter-sized, silver-colored welch plug. The Model and Serial Numbers are often stamped on them.
