What year is my engine

Hey I need some help here. I was given an old 33 horse Johnson engine and I need any info you can give me but, I'm mostly looking for the year. The model number is RXEL-15C or 15G the plate is hard to read. The serel number is U2802240. If you can help PLEASE answer.
