what year is my islander 22???

serial # is 69-22429.
i bragged about it here before and said it was a 1970 but really don't know.
while i'm at it mercruiser 120 serial # is 2459880.
what impeller kit would i need?
have replaced all wood inside "oak ply cabin wall and door" and looking good.
i'm slow but project moving along.

My 22 ft holiday , has a rear id stamp says 22======= my neighbors 22 Islander has a pre date on it as well. I presume your Islander is a 1969 model. Is there not a plate by the helm with a starcraft logo and info on what the boat should hold -hp - and weight? The Id is on the right rear of the transom on the outside near the top. It is stamped into the corner bracked on mine. Sounds like a project.

the plate by the helm is were i got the s.n. from but i see no specific date on it.
yes she is a project and i also presumed her to be a 1969.
when metals were at there high point i picked her up for $350. and had planned on scrapping her out for profit.
you know how boats are and after really looking i couldn't do it, so.
now i need to find out what impeller kit i need.
the engine turns over fine but don't want to fire it up without replacing the impeller.

found it and bought it plus an aligning tool already had a new gimbal bearing.
