what year is my merc

hello everyone !<br />I posted a question in another forum but recieved no response.So lets try it here.<br />the model is a 200 lightening bolt ignition.<br />the h.p. is 20<br />the serial is 5083500.<br />it is black in color and the "mercury" is silver on a red stripe.Thanks in advance!

are you sure that is the right ser# ?? I put it in the Mercury data dase and it came back "Not Found"!!

Per my SELOC manual it is a 1978 model. Hope the book isn't lying to us.<br />

Hi Ron<br />Does it say Kiekiefer on the front cover.<br />I bet it is 70-71 model.<br />LW
