what year is my mercury 1000?

I just bought a mercury 1000, 100 hp inline 6. serial # is 1853158. Cany you tell me the year and is this an oil mixture engine?

Your motor is a 1965 and uses premix fuel.

This engine does turn over but haven't had time to work on it. Do you think this is a worthwhile engine?
