What year is my motor?

I have a Mariner 15m. I need to know what year it is.<br />There are 3 sets of numbers listed on it.<br /><br />Code 684C S<br />Seriel # 054118<br />and some other # 6840 8 054118.<br /><br />I want to buy a service manual but I don't know the year.

I believe Rick is correct.See if your number doesn't read 6840 "B" (instead of 8) 054118.
