What Year Is My Motor ?

I came up with two different numbers when I asked<br />this question the other day so I will try again .<br />15 HP Mercury outboard with serial no # 0B315971<br />dose anyone know where to look this up that I might find out what year my motor Is Or can someone tell me ?? /df

Hi Dean<br /> Mercury Idenitfies their motors mainly by ser#. Not necessarly by year model. I don't know the source that Rick used (there are several). Your ser# falls between the two numbers Rick posted.So your motor would be concidered a 1988. I have not checked , but I'll bet he is correct.
