i have a 10 hp sea king model number vwb 52010. what year is it. also if possible i would like to know if there is a recoil spring from another outboard that would work in mine. anyking of help would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />thanks
It's a 60's model Sea King made by West Bend...hence the wb in vwb. OMC/Gale made Sea Kings into the early 60's, then MW switched the Sea King motor to West Bend manufacturing. Hope this helps a little.
It's actually a '74 10hp, made by Chrysler Marine. Chrysler bought West Bend outright in 1965. So that's the West Bend heritage in the model number.<br /><br /> Sea King Model reference (VWB)
